Upcoming in July: Visit Kanditheemu Project Activities

Blue Guild Foundation is pleased to announce upcoming activities in July under the Visit Kanditheemu – A Community Driven Future project.
The activities will focus on strengthening community-based tourism in Kanditheemu by supporting local entrepreneurs, women-led businesses, SMEs, guesthouses, homestays, and service providers.
A series of capacity building workshops will be conducted following a rapid needs assessment. The workshops will cover key areas such as marketing, online presence management, customer service, financial management, and minimum hospitality standards for tourism facilities.
As part of the project, Blue Guild Foundation will also begin developing a marketing and promotion strategy for Kanditheemu in consultation with local authorities and tourism stakeholders. This will include online and offline promotion, partnership development, marketing materials, and highlighting Kanditheemu’s unique identity, including its heritage, natural beauty, community atmosphere, public spaces, island hospitality, and connection to the origin of the Thaana script.
Through these July activities, the project aims to improve visitor experiences, strengthen local businesses, and support a more inclusive and sustainable tourism future for Kanditheemu.
