Nikamathi
Canopy Deck | Visitor Attraction | Community Space
Nikamathi is a community-funded canopy deck built above 20 feet, offering a unique elevated experience surrounded by nature. It has become one of Kanditheemu’s attractions for both visitors and island residents.
Bumbaru
Community Space | Public Recreation | Coastal Viewpoint
Bumbaru is a community-built public space at the western edge of Kanditheemu, offering scenic views of the island’s house reef, nearby islands, daily sunsets, and the western horizon of Thiladhunmathi Atoll. Developed through volunteer efforts in 2020 and recently renovated with support from the island council grant, local volunteers, and businesses, Bumbaru has become a valued recreational and social gathering space for residents and visitors.
Rooted in Kanditheemu.
