Island Roots. Community Futures.
Blue Guild Foundation is a community-rooted Maldivian nonprofit working to build resilient island futures through environmental stewardship, sustainable development, heritage, youth leadership, good governance and practical partnerships.
Rooted in Kanditheemu, we combine local knowledge, community leadership, science and partnerships to develop solutions that can strengthen island communities today and build long-term resilience for the future.

Our Flagship Programme
Kanditheemu Marine Research and Blue Carbon Observatory
A 10-year community-led initiative building permanent local capacity for marine science, ecosystem monitoring and stewardship in Shaviyani Atoll.
The programme connects long-term monitoring of coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass and coastal environments with the Kanditheemu Reef Atlas, a Marine Research Lab and Field Station, community research capacity, and scientific partnerships.
