Blue Guild Foundation has supported and hosted projects across youth development, ocean sports, women’s empowerment, good governance, first aid, heritage, environmental awareness, and public space development.

Naares

Good Governance | Women & Youth | Civic Participation

Naares was conducted as part of the Kaamiyaabu Anhenun project with support from The Asia Foundation. The program engaged 18 participants and focused on good governance, decentralization, and social accountability.

The initiative encouraged women and youth to become more active in civic participation, local decision-making, and community development.

Raalhu Aa Jeelakah 2

Surf Training | Youth Development | Ocean Sports

Blue Guild Foundation hosted Raalhu Aa Jeelakah 2 in collaboration with the Maldives Surfing Association. The program introduced participants to beginner and competitive surfing, wave-riding techniques, theory sessions, video analysis, and surf skate lessons.

Led by trained surf instructors, the program helped build confidence, ocean skills, and interest in surfing among young people in Kanditheemu. A total of 53 participants took part in the program.

Raalhu Aa Jeelakah 1

Surf Training | Female Empowerment | Community Sports

Raalhu Aa Jeelakah introduced surfing to the next generation, with a special focus on empowering female surfers. Held at Bolikatafoo beach break in Kanditheemu, the program covered surfing fundamentals such as paddling, pop-up techniques, and wave riding.

Supported by a community fund from Allied Insurance, the initiative successfully trained 29 participants and helped grow the island’s surf community.

Hudhu Fonu – Maldives National Bodyboarding Program

Bodyboarding | Youth Skills | National Partnership

Blue Guild Foundation hosted the first-ever bodyboarding program in Kanditheemu in partnership with the Maldives Bodyboarding Association through the Hudhu Fonu – Maldives National Bodyboarding Program.

The program gave young local riders the opportunity to learn from national professionals, understand the fundamentals of bodyboarding, and experience ocean sports in a structured and inspiring environment.

Standard First Aid Training

Community Safety | Emergency Preparedness | Resilience

Blue Guild Foundation collaborated with Kanditheemu Police, Kanditheemu Council, WDC Sh. Kanditheemu, and Maldivian Red Crescent Kulhudhuffushi City to conduct a three-day Standard First Aid Training.

More than 20 community members participated, learning essential life-saving skills and strengthening local preparedness for emergencies.

Kandisaaru

Heritage | Culture | Community Memory

Kandisaaru is the Kanditheemu Center for Heritage and Culture. It began as a community effort to preserve historical artifacts and safeguard the island’s rich heritage for future generations.

Blue Guild Foundation has collaborated with stakeholders to support and expand the mission of the Kandisaaru team, helping strengthen heritage preservation, education, and cultural identity in Kanditheemu.
