Blue Guild Foundation is proud to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of Bank of Maldives’ Bank Fund 2026 for our project to establish a small-scale makerspace at Sh. Atoll School.
Through this project, Blue Guild Foundation, in partnership with Makerspace Maldives, will set up a dedicated, safety-compliant makerspace equipped with two enclosed 3D printers, one 20W laser cutter/engraver, a design workstation, and starter consumables.
The project will support enrolled students through practical STEAM learning, digital design, 3D printing, laser fabrication, and student enterprise activities. Designated teachers will also receive intensive training from Makerspace Maldives to operate the equipment, maintain the space, and integrate digital fabrication into classroom learning.
Within the six-month project period, the initiative aims to establish a fully operational school-owned makerspace, train 1–2 teachers, introduce at least 50 students to digital fabrication, and support at least 20 students to complete an enterprise and innovation program ending with a student product exhibition.
In the long term, the makerspace will become a lasting educational asset for Kanditheemu, helping students build creativity, practical skills, problem-solving ability, and future-ready knowledge linked to the island’s local economy.
Blue Guild Foundation extends sincere appreciation to Bank of Maldives, Sh. Atoll School, Makerspace Maldives, and all community partners supporting this initiative.

Rooted in Kanditheemu.
